Joachim Friedrich of Brandenburg, a significant ruler from the House of Hohenzollern, served as administrator of the Archbishopric of Magdeburg from 1566 to 1598 and as Elector of Brandenburg from 1598 until his death in 1608. His tenure was marked by the administration of the Magdeburg archbishopric, where he signed the Formula of Concord in 1577 and the Book of Concord in 1580.
